Bio

(Eine deutsche Vita folgt ganz bald. Versprochen!)

For seven years now I have worked as a freelance script reader and editor in Cologne. I have an M.A. in Film Studies and have had several jobs in the industry, mostly in development. When possible, I attend the workshops of teachers like Robert McKee and Jürgen Wolff so that I can offer a range of approaches to script development.

In 2006, I was trained as a Script Editor on the one of the leading schemes in Europe: the Danish Film Institute’s North by Northwest programme. Sessions were tutored by staff from USC’s School of Cinematic arts, namely David Weber, Tom Abrams and David Howard.

My clients include broadcasting networks, world sales companies and several, mostly German, film production companies. I therefore get to read and evaluate a wide range of material. This means that I am familiar with – and can advise on – most scripts be they big budget Hollywood pictures, TV-Movies or highly original and experimental foreign films from all over the world.

Having gathered extensive experience as a reader of screenplays I am currently focusing on script consultancy and have started to develop my own material. I teach Drama at the Department of Media Studies at the University of Bochum.
